In 1997, Star Mechanical closed up shop, and Rick took the opportunity to start Superior Mechanical. When they opened there were about 4-6 employees, but within 3 years he had grown the company to upwards of 60.

Rick’s sons, Keith and Michael, first started working at Superior over Summer break throughout high school. After graduating, they began working full-time for their dad, and, just like him, they started at the bottom working install jobs. They each moved through various positions in the business, learning about the different roles and departments, until eventually Michael ended up in Service Management, and Keith remained in the field as a technician.

Today, Keith continues working in the field, but occasionally joins his brother in the office assisting with estimating projects. As Rick plans out retirement in just a few years, the brothers have begun taking over the reins and are expanding the company into residential service and installations.

Superior pairs the institutional knowledge of Rick and other employees, who have been with the company for years, with the future-thinking energy of the Fuller brothers and the younger techs joining the team. This combination of expertise and excitement is part of what sets Superior apart.

Today, we bring that same expertise directly to homeowners and businesses—providing reliable HVAC repair, professional system installation, and ongoing maintenance services. Because comfort shouldn’t stop at installation—it should last for years.
